What should the switchgear estimate identify?
Start with the lineup and each tagged section. Capture the supplied configuration, bus arrangement, protection and metering inputs, cable interfaces, site work and required records.

How are data center topology terms used?
Topology labels such as N, N plus 1 or 2N describe an approved arrangement only when the project defines them. Do not infer equipment quantities or redundancy from a label without checking the source design.
Which exclusions need explicit review?
Review protection studies, arc flash work, controls programming, testing, temporary works, cranage, cable supply and final engineering sign-off as separate scope questions. The estimate should show whether each is included, excluded or open.

What else should the bid team know?
Does a checklist produce a complete estimate?
No. It controls the review. Quantities, rates, scope and commercial treatment still need project inputs and estimator approval.
Can data center work be estimated from the room name alone?
No. Use the issued drawings, schedules, specifications, interfaces and equipment information. A room label is not a quantity basis.
Who approves engineering assumptions?
The responsible project engineer approves technical design assumptions. The estimator controls the pricing treatment and records the source.
