Which generator plant elements are easy to miss?

Check the single line, plant layout, equipment schedules and written scope together. Review connections, controls, fuel system interfaces, ventilation, exhaust, acoustic requirements, testing and handover records.

How should testing be priced?

List factory, site, functional and integrated activities only when the project documents require them. Keep the required record and responsible party beside each activity. Acceptance criteria come from the approved project documents, not from this guide.

What should the estimator hand over?

The handover should include the quantity basis, source register, assumptions, exclusions, open issues and review status. This lets the project team see which numbers depend on an unresolved technical input.

Common questions

What else should the bid team know?

Does a checklist produce a complete estimate?

No. It controls the review. Quantities, rates, scope and commercial treatment still need project inputs and estimator approval.

Can data center work be estimated from the room name alone?

No. Use the issued drawings, schedules, specifications, interfaces and equipment information. A room label is not a quantity basis.

Who approves engineering assumptions?

The responsible project engineer approves technical design assumptions. The estimator controls the pricing treatment and records the source.
