What is Division 26?
MasterFormat is the Construction Specifications Institute system for organizing construction information. CSI lists Division 26 as Electrical. Project teams still need to review other divisions because related controls, communications, fire protection and site work can sit elsewhere.

How should quantities be reconciled?
Compare plan measurements with single line diagrams, schedules and specification requirements. Keep an issue log for different tags, ratings and counts rather than silently choosing one source.
- Count equipment from schedules and plans
- Measure routes against the nominated scale
- Separate conductors, containment and terminations
- Record waste or allowance inputs only when approved
How should code requirements be handled?
NFPA 70 is the National Electrical Code, but the adopted edition and local amendments depend on the project jurisdiction. The estimate should record the tendered code basis and route design questions to the responsible engineer.
