How do redundancy requirements affect the estimate?
Do not convert a label such as N+1 or 2N directly into quantities. Trace the actual one-line topology, equipment schedules and operating sequence. Uptime Institute states that its Tier topology criteria compare capacity components and distribution paths, while the project documents determine the chosen design.
Which boundaries need clarification?
Clarify design responsibility, free-issued equipment, vendor installation, controls integration, temporary power, testing support and record-document ownership. Record the interim estimating assumption beside each question.

Does Division 26 cover every data center electrical item?
No. The tender may place related work in other divisions or vendor packages. Review all cross-references.
Should controls be included with electrical work?
